This recording is a digitally remastered version
of two Frankie Spetich Orchestra releases. The first, The Frankie
Spetich Orchestra Plays Favorites, was a big seller for Frankie, but
is no longer available. The second, Through The Years, is
still available on cassette, and is the final recording session for the
original Frankie Spetich Orchestra. Twelve of the fourteen songs from Through
The Years, are remastered here.
Ricky's Polka, Connie's Waltz, Spot Light Polka and Johnny's and Frankie's Polka are all original compositions by Frankie. These songs join the other marvelous standards played by the band whose two original members, Johnny Spetich on saxophone, clarinet and piano and Frankie Zupec the mainstay on drums contributed more than words can describe.
